Areas of Practice
Russ is experienced in business law, including S corporations, C corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships, trust and estate administration, plus charitable planning and the formation of private foundations. He has represented individuals in IRS matters and litigation before the U.S. Tax Court. Much of his practice involves property transactions and transfers designed to minimize income, estate, and gift taxes. Russ has been with the firm since 1989.
Personal
From small-town roots (he was raised on a wheat farm near Heppner, Oregon), Russ has grown to love travel, particularly with his three daughters. He can also frequently be found yelling “Fore!” on a golf course, unless of course his Oregon Ducks are on TV, in which case you couldn’t move him with a forklift.
