Areas of Practice
Pat’s practice focuses on business and corporate law, estate planning, and estate administration. Pat advises clients on the start-up, maintenance, and operation of business and nonprofit entities, assists clients with buying and selling businesses and real estate, and drafts and reviews commercial agreements. Pat prepares estate plans, guides clients through the often complicated world of probate, trust, and estate administration after the death of a family member, and helps families minimize their Oregon and Federal estate tax burden.
Personal
Pat was born and raised in Alaska, a product of two parents who suffered from acute wanderlust. In similar fashion, he wandered off himself, trading snow for rain when he moved to Oregon to become a Duck. Pat spent two eye-opening years in the Peace Corps in Haiti and is one of the few attorneys around who is conversant in Haitian Creole.
